Bishop Joseph A. Carroll was a Roman Catholic Irish priest, educator and auxiliary bishop of Dublin. Joseph Carroll was born on December 12, 1912, in Dublin, he was ordained a priest in 1938 for the Dublin Diocese.〔(Bishop Joseph A. Bishop Carroll also served as the Dublin archdiocese administrator. As President of Clonliffe College in 1966 he was involved in the setting up of the Mater Dei Institute of Education, which he served as president of as well.
